Project Romania ~Christmas Shoe Box Appeal - 03 November 2008

THANK YOU for your support for the ongoing work of the Project Romania. We were able to send 32 gift filled wrapped shoe boxes to these needy children.  Thank you to Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Martin for delivering them.

Cross Community Project - 02 October 2008

Louise Byrne and Paula Devlin from BEAM, a cross community charity, came into school and took all of the P6 children for an excellent art workshop making, "Paverpol," figures out of wire, foil, masking tape, dishcloths, glue and paint.

All of the pupils had a great time and enjoyed seeing their models come to life. They now look forward to going to the exhibition that will be held as part of Armagh Civic Pride and will display their modelsand those of the four other local primary schools that were involved in the project.

 

The children are invited to a special launch at 7.00pm on 7th October at the Marketplace Theatre withsome local dignitaries.

P.5 Roald Dahl Day - 12 September 2008

Mrs. Graham's P5s had a Roald Dahl theme day. We came to school dressed in yellow (Roald Dahl's favourite colour) or in costume as a character from one of his many books. Activities for the day were planned around the author and included Roald Dahl trivia hunt; cartoon quiz and word search on Roald Dahl characters; survey of favourite R.Dahl novel; drama from James and the Giant Peach and designing and making bags to keep 'crocodile tongues in'. To see some of our photos click on our P5 web page within class pages.

"Oliver!" - 20 June 2008

A stunning performance from the Key Stage 2 children to round up this year - and such a lovely way to say farewell to our wonderul P7s.  We'll miss you all so please keep in touch!

P5 Egyptian Day - 13 June 2008

As part of our class topic Mrs. Harrison and Mrs. Graham's P5s had an Egyptian theme day. We came to school in Egyptian dress and activites included Egytpian jewellery making, music, maths, treasure hunt (orienteering style) and an Egyptian banquet to end the day. Shannaghmore 2008 - 05 June 2008

Primary Six had a wonderful trip to Shannaghmore outside Newcastle county Down. They took part in lots of outdoor pursuits activities.

French Trip - 03 June 2008

The Primary Seven children had a wonderful trip to Paris. They visited the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, The Artist quarter at Monmartre and had a boat ride on the River Seine. The trip also included two days at Disney land ,Paris. The new Hollywood hotel tower of terror and the new roller Coaster were enjoyed by most people. The "Rockin Roller Coaster" is still the favourite with pupils from Saints and Scholars.

Click on the title above to find all the songs which you need to learn by heart for Saturday 11th Oct. The bus will leave at 11:15am sharp to be at the Waterfront for a rehearsal with CBOI at 12:30pm. The concert will begin at 3pm ( unlike the previously given time of 4pm ) and should be finished at 5:10pm approx.
