The Friday Note (12.12.25)

THE FRIDAY NOTE (12TH DECEMBER 2025)

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We’re at the end of another busy week at Saints and Scholars, and we are all feeling very festive and ready for our last week of term next week! This week, we enjoyed a fantastic (and blustery!) Open Evening, and it was lovely to meet so many new parents who are considering sending their children to our school next year. On Thursday evening, our Christmas Fayre was also a huge success. Everyone enjoyed getting into the festive spirit, seeing Santa, and of course, the raffle prizes were a real hit! On behalf of the Parents’ Council, we’d like to thank everyone who came along and supported these two events, donated raffle prizes, and all our volunteers who ensured the evening ran smoothly. The Parents’ Council will announce the total raised in their next newsletter- thank you especially to all our Parents’ Council members!

I hope you all find the following information useful- have a good weekend!

PARENTPAY

Please ensure all balances are settled on ParentPay by Friday 19th December at 10am. Clearing any outstanding balances by this date helps us start the new term smoothly. Thank you!

CAROL SINGING AT HOCKLEY

Mrs Harrison’s class visited Hockley Nursing Home on Thursday and treated the residents to some fantastic carol singing to bring festive cheer. They sang beautifully and represented our school so well. Thank you to Mrs Harrison, Geraldine, and Liann for preparing the children so well for this.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Auditions for Beauty and the Beast will take place on Wednesday (during the day) and are open to all children in P4 to P7. This will be a great experience for all the children, and we’d encourage everyone to get involved in some way—even if they’re not comfortable doing a solo or taking on a principal part. We’d love as many P4–P7 children to be involved as possible! Audition information will be sent home with the children today.

NATIVITY PERFORMANCE

The Nursery and P1 Nativity performance will be taking place on Wednesday 17th December at 10am (doors open at 9.20am). Two tickets per child will be sent home today. We kindly ask for a cash donation in lieu of tickets for our iPad fundraiser. A collection bucket will be available in reception after the show. Thank you.

Thursday 18th and Friday 19th December will be non-uniform days for the children. Classes will be having their Christmas parties on Thursday and school finishes early on Friday for the Christmas holidays. Collection will is as follows on Friday:
