THE FRIDAY NOTE (16TH JANUARY 2026)
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope that everyone has had a great week!
I hope you find the following information useful.
APPLICATIONS FOR NURSERY AND P1
EA Connect is now live for online applications for children due to begin Nursery and P1 in September 2026. A reminder that applications must be completed by 12 noon on Wednesday 21st January, so there are only a few days left to get everything submitted. If you need any help at all with the process, please just get in touch and I will be very happy to support you.
NEW ARRIVAL
We are absolutely delighted for Mrs Fogarty and her husband Mark on the birth of their beautiful baby daughter, Éadha, who arrived on 22nd December. This is such wonderful news, and we are all over the moon for you, Kerri. Enjoy every moment with your little girl, and we can’t wait for you to visit us all!
CAR PARK LINES
Our car park lines have now been freshly painted. Thank you for your patience yesterday morning while this work was carried out. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that our disability spaces are reserved for families who hold a blue badge- please ensure this is clearly displayed at drop off. We also encourage all families to use the drop?off area and move on promptly to help keep traffic flowing smoothly, especially during the busy morning period.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
Rehearsals for Beauty and the Beast are now in full swing, and it is already shaping up to be a truly special show. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Marketplace Theatre website. With both a matinee and an evening performance on 20th May, we expect this to be a very popular event, so please secure your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Thank you in advance for supporting our incredibly talented pupils!
PARENTPAY
We would ask all parents to please check their ParentPay accounts and clear any outstanding balances as soon as possible. Keeping accounts up to date really helps us manage school resources smoothly and ensures that all funds can be directed straight back into supporting the children’s experiences in school. If you need any assistance, or if you would like to set up a payment plan, please contact Grainne in the office and she will be very happy to help.
REPORTING ABSENCES
All absences should be reported via the ‘Book an Absence’ link on our website on the first day of absence. This helps us keep accurate records and ensures compliance with Education Welfare guidance.
IPAD UPDATE
We have raised over 30% towards our fundraising target for a new class set of iPads. Currently, we have enough money to purchase ten new iPads and cases which is fantastic! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! We appreciate it so much!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, you’re always welcome to get in touch with me or your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo or you can catch me at drop off or collection time. For safeguarding concerns, please contact Mrs O’Braonain directly at aobraonain211@c2kni.net.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Mr A. Scott-Mulholland
