THE FRIDAY NOTE (1ST MAY 2026)
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’ve all had a lovely week and have been enjoying the beautiful spell of weather recently. It’s certainly been a busy one in Saints and Scholars, with rehearsals for the show, Shared Education trips and hockey tournaments all taking place. I’m sure everyone is ready for a well-earned weekend!
I hope you find the following information useful!
BANK HOLIDAY
A reminder that school will be closed on Monday 4th May for the Bank Holiday. We hope you all enjoy the long weekend. School will reopen as normal on Tuesday 5th May.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Some of our Primary 4 pupils will celebrate their First Holy Communion on Saturday 9th May. The Mass will begin at 11am, followed by a small celebration back at school. Please refer to the note sent out by Mrs Tohill for full details.
Each year, members of our school choir attend the ceremony to support their friends on this very special occasion. Notes have been sent home with choir members, and we would love to see as many children there as possible. If you have not yet returned your permission slip, please do so next week.
CELEBRATING PUPIL SUCCESS
Thank you to parents who have shared photos of their children’s achievements outside school. We love celebrating these successes. Whether on the sports field or on the stage! Please continue to send these via Class Dojo and I’ll happily share them on our social media.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
Our talented P4–P7 pupils are bringing Beauty and the Beast Jr. to the stage and it promises to be a truly magical experience for all. From stunning performances to incredible teamwork, this production celebrates everything we value as an integrated school… confidence, creativity and children coming together to shine.

Just a reminder to please ensure that all items of school uniform are labelled with your child’s name. This just helps us return any lost items of clothing to their rightful owners. Thank you!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, you’re always welcome to get in touch with me or your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo or you can catch me at drop off or collection time. For safeguarding concerns, please contact Mrs O’Braonain directly at aobraonain211@c2kni.net.
Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend everyone,
