Today in nursery we made bird feeders using pipe cleaners and Cheerios cereal. The children carefully threaded the Cheerios onto the pipe cleaners, which was a lovely activity for developing their fine motor skills. This links in with our Animals theme and also ties into some of our winter discussions about looking after the birds during the colder weather.
