Today the children planted their own sunflower seeds. They carefully filled their pots with soil, placed their seeds inside, and labelled them proudly with their names. This activity encourages responsibility as they care for their plants by watering them and watching them grow. It also helps to develop fine motor skills, observation skills, and an understanding of how living things grow and change over time, all while being a fun, hands-on experience.
As we’ve begun exploring our Spring topic, we’re also manifesting some bright, sunny weather to help our sunflowers thrive! We’re looking forward to watching them grow tall and strong over the coming weeks.
